A man stands in an old tea house in Chengdu, China. He is pouring hot water from a kettle held at head height. He is dressed in just an apron and jeans and he, the kettle and more are surrounded by clouds of steam.

A woman at Burning Man looks directly into the camera. We can see from her shoulders up and she appears to be wearing a leather jacket of some sort. On her cheeks is glittery make-up and her forhead has jewels across it. In her messy hair sits a set of steam punk inspired goggles.
Working on a new people-based photography project and decided to give Skylum's Portrait Editor a try. New toys are always fun.πΒ Here's one of the early results. Very pleased. More soon... and if you want to check out Aperty: stuckincustoms.com/aperty

Autumnal trees reflected in a completely still pond on a Dallas golf course.
A new #teampixel photo from my morning walk here in Dallas... I recently released the Pixel 9 Pro Fold review on the blog at StuckInCustoms that you can check out (the most recent post)... Still here in Texas for a while visiting the kids and relatives :)
A Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold sits on a wooden table. Behind it is a bowl of fruit and cereal. The phone is folded, partially with one half upright facing the viewer and displaying a video.
On the blog at stuckincustoms dot com my review of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Here I'm watching a video on one half of the screen, folded upwards, and scrolling Insta on the other half. Media and brekky consumption at maximum! If you count the ears, Iβm filling up 5 holes at once.

Iβm working on a new fun little project and this is one of the photos I will use. This is one of the rocks in Death Valley that mysteriously moves across the playa.
This was a tough spot to find! This is a really cool night market in Hong Kong that I visited. I wanted to get a higher perspective so I looked around at all the neighboring buildings to find this spot.
Hereβs one from when I visited an old tea house in Chengdu. These are becoming more and more rare with all the modernization in Chinaβ¦ This also uses one of the new presets!
Created with my new presets (for Lightroom and Luminar) check out my previous share or the latest post on stuckincustoms dot com for the details and a discount. π
Also, thanks again to the incredible camera club at Te Anau for their hospitality and kindness!
New Presets - Available NOW!
Iβm excited to release these really fun and beautiful presets for you! Iβve been squirreling them away as I journeyed around the world over the past couple of years so they work in all sorts of scenarios

On our very first day on my first photo adventure to Africa, this was our first stop! What a wild and amazing place⦠some of you know that one of my hobbies is geology, so I had a great time trying to figure out how in the world this was possible.
Still working on the new Presetsβ¦ soon! Sub to my newsletter below to find out first. This is my place here in New Zealand! Iβm actually in the middle of selling itβ¦ I literally have no idea what I will do next. I feel drawn to Japan latelyβ¦ maybe Iβll get a place there for six months or a year.
Iβll release some new presets soon! Do you get my newsletter? Usually thatβs where I release stuff first. If you want added just email newsletter at stuckincustoms dot com with the subject Presets and we'll sort you out with newsβ¦ Hereβs one I just finished editing with one of the new presets!
I had what is known as an NDE, although mine was a bit different as I visited the Spirit World for a while on my birthday last year. I spent the last year putting together this book as a tell-all. A wild, hilarious, sad, crazy, and amazing adventure. Enjoy!

You might remember this Castle Hill area of New Zealand from the Narnia movies.
Hereβs another photo from the recent road trip. It was one of those fairly rare days with almost no wind, and I passed about a dozen lakes that were as still as mirrors.
Hereβs a scene from the incredible area just near Arthurβs Pass on the South Island of New Zealand called Castle Hill. I did a road trip here last week and had a great time. Lots of great hikes and meditations!
Late one evening near dusk we headed up towards the top of the Remarkables. The view up there is amazing. I think itβs cool to watch the planes land there at the airport from way above. The pilots have to have special training to land here because they have to spiral down between the huge mountains.
Hereβs a photo from my recent fun photo workshop down in Queenstown. On the last night, I was going to take everyone to my favorite ponds for shooting at dusk, but the driver said, βNo, you should come to MY ponds, they are way better!β I went with the universe, and, sure enough, they were better! π
On the last night of the photo workshop, we headed over to this special little place⦠felt like we were time traveling!
Hereβs a beautiful stop we made during my recent New Zealand photo workshop on the way back from Glenorchy to the hotel for a day one of my favorite things: post-processing in a dark room. π

The Autumn New Zealand Workshop has begun and it's been amazing... colors as incredible as always. Great new friends too!
Hereβs a photo I got on the way to Mt. Cook/Aoraki, which is only a few hours from Queenstown. Itβs one of the new stops weβre gonna do on the upcoming NZ Photo Adventure workshop happening soon!
A view from a quadcopter above Lake Wakatipu in New Zealand. In the foreground the shore of the lake can be seen, covered in lush vegetation. This then moves into the calm waters of the lake, fed by glacial water. In the distance harsh jagged peaks rise towards the summer sky with high, soft clouds.
Another day, another hike! Iβve been out enjoying this weather on looooong walks about 3-4 hours a day, listening to all sorts of audiobooks. I usually carry a few pieces of fruit that I eat like a primate while my monkey brain tries to figure out these books.
I took this while on a boat with the amazing Stu after another delightful day exploring Scotland. I canβt wait to go back. Itβs a very special place to me.
A road extends into the distance along the edge of Lake Wanaka in New Zealand. On the horizon a rainbow reaches out of the lake, heading over the distant mountains which line the far side of the glacial lake.
Hereβs a photo I took on the way to Glenorchy the other day to go on a long hike with some friends. Itβs been a great summer down hereβ¦ hiking between 10-20km a day. The nature here is so beautiful and relaxing.
Yellowstone. This is one of the first digital paintings I did. I got a Wacom tablet for some reason and then decided I should try painting. Why not? I think it turned out pretty well, but I have a feeling that actual painters that have a lifetime of experience would find a lot of faults with it!
A visit to Milford Sound... this is a pano made out of dozens of photos. The full one is about 35,000 pixels across... they don't read as well on socials, but it looks great printed out at 3 meters across.
