The Open Source Cryptography Workshop is returning for 2026, before Real World Crypto in Taipei. We are calling for session proposals, both presentations and hands-on workshops, on topics of interest to those who work on and with open source crypto. oscwork.shop/2026 #oscw #rwc #oscw2026 #rwc2026

I came to say that it indeed looks scary
Denmark says it will withdraw the EU "Chat Control" proposal, which would force tech companies to scan messages for CSAM, and instead support voluntary scanning (Claudie Moreau/Euractiv)

Initially it was because of potentially slow cryptography :)
I don't really know who works on WebCrypto at Apple :/
This might be a bit complicated. For example, P-256 we support because it's used in TLS, whereas we don't have any special need for the bitcoin curve..
If you're missing any other feature, feel free to reach out :D
And we do support it now (:
it would be so nice to have it updated though
Thank you so much for your work though :)
Oh, you publish the talks right before the start of my working day :(
We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EUβs Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/ge...
You indeed could take a look at the w3c WebCrypto standard. I think a lot of people plan to implement PQ for WebCrypto
Thanks!
Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer using compressed keys? Is it a requirement/output of something?
@mary.my.id could I contact you in private (email/dm/anything would work) to ask a couple of questions then?
We indeed don't yet support compressed keys :) But no worries, it's in our to-do list
I get Address Not Found?
#TBT to our DEFCON 29 badge. More than just a stylish accessory, it offered something for everyone. The detailed artwork, a collaboration w/ flysurreal.com provided a cockpit-like experience & FAA-compliant lighting.
Our 2025 badge is in the works and itβs going to be awesome! @defcon.bsky.social
It's out!! Very proud to have worked on this, and if you want to get into quantum sensing and help improve and open source project, THIS IS FOR YOU!
