Helmsley Trustee Walter Panzirer is a former paramedic in rural areas and sees the value of rural journalism.

Supported by Helmsley since 2022, stories from the initiative have spurred government investigations and action at the state and federal level.

Editor & Publisher Magazine recently spotlighted the efforts of the Rural Health Desk at @kffhealthnews.org to expand its coverage of some of the country's most remote communities.

Journalism is often a catalyst for change. It is essential for uncovering challenges and elevating unheard voices, but most news organizations lack the capacity to cover rural health.

IBD Therapeutics Incubator: Request for Proposals The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (Foundation) is dedicated to addressing the unmet needs of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The goal of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to support research to create new therapeutic product opportunities derived from breakthrough academic research, which has identified novel and differentiated drug targets for the treatment of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

That’s why we support the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s IBD Therapeutics Incubator program to foster the translation of academic discoveries into innovative #IBD therapeutics.
