Picked up some classic Warhammer books from my LGS

Beastmen 6th Ed (2003)
Greenskins 7th Ed (2006)
Greenskins 4th Ed (1993)

It’s strange to have nostalgia for a game I wasn’t playing at the time it existed, but these old books make me yearn for a Games Workshop that largely doesn’t exist anymore.

We need more new Swamp Thing books. Ol Swampy deserves more stories.

In my lifetime? Most likely not! But, I can still use that dream to guide my choices and how I treat others. Everyone deserves better. Nobody should suffer. It’s why I don’t engage in the current “they voted for this” discourse. I don’t find joy condemning others to suffering.

I think it can be cathartic to fantasize about life after humanity.

That being said, i don’t dream of a world after humanity, i dream of one without suffering. No sickness, no disease, no hunger, no war. We can do better, we just need to dream beyond the confines of the capitalist system.

Spent some late nights over the last couple weeks working on these two 8x4 tables for Warhammer and other games.

I’ve never built anything before so it was a learning experience, but I had a blast and I’m super proud of how they turned out!

Rented a studio space with some friends and started a tabletop hobby club.

My first time building anything and I’m making progress on two 8x4 tables for Warhammer that’ll occupy the studio so we can run games!

Despite the disastrous state of our industry, and the constant stress of worrying about my employment, I don’t ever wanna do anything other than work on games.

I’m so lucky that I ended up in this industry and I’ll never not be thankful for it.

Almost weekly I feel like my resume gets a little weirder because of our game.

Today I added “Wicked” to the list of franchises I’ve collaborated with.

I’m grateful I still get to have a little fun with great people.

Good time for me to say on this app that I think sports betting apps are a plague on society and should be illegal.

Profits made by exploiting people with gambling issues may as well be blood money!

People look at me like I’m crazy when I say that sports betting apps should be illegal. They think it’s some lukewarm and unimportant take, but I’m dead serious. It ruins people’s lives and is a shining example of how capitalists prioritize profits at the expense of people’s wellbeing.
