Republicans somehow managed to sprint from βweβre trying to protect women in sportsβ straight to defending a woman being shot in the head three times at point blank range for trying to drive away from a masked thug.
Canβt wait to vote for you!
Know your rights. Protect your neighbors.
New York is β and always will be β a city for all immigrants.
Would love to buy locally and drop something off. Do you only need the specific items on the wishlists or are other (similar) gifts welcome?
Love this story! Teenagers get such a bad rap but as the mum of a teen boy, I know so many great teens who care deeply about the world and are working hard to make a difference. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/14/r...
I think Senate folders are significantly underestimating how fucking angry Democratic voters are at them
A reminder that if you are called to be part of a jury in a political prosecution you have a right to refuse to convict on the grounds the prosecution is unjust. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...
Just renewed, hope you meet your goal!
As the parent of a teen, this story breaks my heart. SIJS is a form of humanitarian protection for children, which just magnifies the cruelty. Please consider supporting The Door which is an incredible youth organization (I did pro bono SIJS work for them some years back, they're the real deal).
Completely agree! I think a lot of the local complaints simply stem from the fact that the work hasnβt been completed yet (such as the crosswalks where cars are parking illegally and making crossing difficult, as the pedestrian islands havenβt yet been installed).
Letβs give these motherfuckers bribing and kidnapping children as much attention as possible
A pattern is developing where everyone who fights back against a Trump attack inevitably wins with their reputation much better than before, and everyone who caves to him looks like shit and has Trump coming back for more a month later.
This is an infuriating and shameful scandal. The Roberts Court is condoning Trumpβs law breaking, again, pure and simple. There is no serious path forward for democratic government without Supreme Court reform.
This piece by Robert Post is excellent. I especially like that he traces the Trump Administration's authoritarian trampling on the First Amendment to, in part, the Roberts Court's extreme unitary executive theory. verfassungsblog.de/turn-against...

Democracy, more than anything is a practice. I always think that the Civil Rights Movement succeeded because from the Civil War black Americans built institutions: universities, fraternities and sororities, churches, that engaged them in democratic practice.
This is the final week of collecting responses regarding font usersβ opinions on the current state of font licensing. The survey will close on Sunday 6 July at midnight CEST. Once the data has been analysed, we will share the findings publicly. Complete the survey today: fontstand.com/survey
As your constituent, Iβm incredibly disappointed by your failure to endorse Mamdani as your partyβs nominee. And your failure to address, let alone condemn, the Islamophobic attacks on Mamdani from the GOP and the right. Youβre failing to meet the moment, we need much better leadership than this.
Socialism, tonight, defeated barbarism. After the two-decade midnight of 9/11, dawn is breaking.

Iβve had a free subscription for some time and just upgraded. Really appreciate Chrisβ deep yet clearly explained analyses. With so much going on, itβs more important than ever to have reliable and authoritative voices such as his providing timely updates about legal developments that impact us all!
NYC Comptroller Brad Lander was just arrested by Trumpβs ICE agents because he asked to see a judicial warrant.
This is fascism and all New Yorkers must speak in one voice. Release him now.
I love all the handwringing about Zohranβs lack of experience when a 19 year-old called Big Balls has recently been made a permanent federal employee with the title Senior Advisor at the GS-15 pay grade in the General Services Administration.
just so weβre all clear: the reason they keep using dolls as their example is because theyβre trying to frame caring about material stuff as feminine and thus inherently shameful
