Me: "I need a loan of about $15,000."
Company: "Hmm we hear you. Would $3,900 be good enough."
Me: "That's not even half of what I need."

Every so often I'm reminded that the first Star Wars we're getting on the big screen in quite some time for some reason is essentially the fourth season of a streaming TV series that most of the general audience didn't watch.
Then I promptly forget again.
Look at that corporation struggling in the massive hole they dug themselves with a backhoe for no reason other than bigotry.
Voyager lovers unite! It's time to shine the much-deserved spotlight back on Robert Picardo's unforgettable role as the Opera-loving curmudgeon with a photonic heart of gold - The Doctor!
We add two Doctor-centric entries to our growing list of 60 of the best episodes of Trek.
Can't wait for the renaming and rebranding challenge of eating packs of ramen
Scott clad in some cargo shorts, slick walking Sketcher shoes, a sick pink open button up shirt over a maroon t-shirt facing down a backdrop with a batter and catch upon it. A baseball clutched in hand which is up right ready to launch that ball with everything he's got. A red rug with a mound plate is under his feet.
The weekend before last, I got a chance to step up to the plate and mound at the spring training music-themed Innings Festival. When's the almost middle aged MLB draft period? Check out how I did at the link below

If you have ever doubted yourself as a writer, please remember that Smallville went for 10 seasons and 217 episodes and the best name they ever came up for pre-Superman Superman was THE RED-BLUE BLUR
Here's my stance on the NYT mess:
There is nothing to be gained by staying. Whatever prestige or integrity it had has long since rotted away. It is the single most damaging press institution towards trans lives in America. If you expect people to be sympathetic for working there, you're a fool
Me: "Marvel Comics is becoming far too old boys club nostalgia heavy to review much. Time to add far more DC Comics and their more progressively creative docket to my queue."
David Ellison:
As of this morning, I have officially turned in an application for the Master of Arts in Special Education Teaching program. While I'll likely take a leave of absence from the first go around (I need the break after this term), I'm determined to continue my education and reach the next level.
How long before the Paramount Warner Bros announces they're "dewokifying" DC Comics and Star Trek?
Every single fucking day.
Star Trek is a very serious sci-fi show about exploring space and the human condition.
Remember that time Lt. Barclay got sick and the whole crew of the Enterprise D got de-evolved into weird creatures?
An image from HBO's upcoming "God Of War" series featuring Ryan Hurst as the protagonist Kratos and Callum Vinson as his young son Atreus. Kratos stands beside a tree, hands on his knees, looking out of breath and exasperated while Atreus stands before a rock with his bow drawn and ready to fire.
Kratos not looking hardened here. He's looking exhausted. Like he's been living 2026.
And the complete shittification of Paramount continues.

Massive crowds are surrounding the Home Plate stage at Innings Fest Tempe 2026 as Mumford & Sons plays and massive red and yellow displays of fireworks are exploding in the dark night sky above. They give a orange glow to the crowd and the surrounding buildings.
This past weekend I got the opportunity to return to Tempe, Arizona for the eighth annual Innings Festival. Baseball, music, food, and drinks filled my days. The first (of many) articles from my time at the fesitval is now live!

Whelp, say goodbye to tons of jobs and tons of things that will now get the CBS treatment as the Trump chuds get their grubby hands on more.
Captain Kathryn Janeway of the U.S.S. Voyager stares out the broken hole in the front of the starship Voyager, seeing the time altering weapon ship of the Krenim from the fabulous fourth season duology "Year Of Hell".
Reality is an absolute mess right now. In trying to keep to the lighter side when possible, the second installment of "Trekking To Sixty," a weekly column celebrating Star Trek's 60th, is now live.
A duo of timey whimey episodes!

Reality is fucking exhausting on all fronts.
I made it through season 2 lol
“Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adults—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe—living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.
If a single damn person says ANYTHING about Gavin Newsom to me in the next calendar year I am legally allowed to rip their spine from their body and hang it on my wall like I'm a The Predator
This is what I need cis folks to understand.
It's been a decade.
Imagine living TEN FUCKING YEARS watching as a blatant, artificial campaign to erase your personhood, your identity and your safety chugs along, increasing in power every single day, and most people don't care or dismiss it
Turns out today ended up being a really bad depression emotional breakdown level day. Girlfriend talked me through it. Just have to accept the feelings, and bounce back tomorrow.
Really great that all these Democrats are taking to social media to call Trump a liar. Surely they must be doing something about those things he's lying about and wrecking...right?....RIGHT?...
Glad to hear this. At the same time, I wish we had found that sweet middle spot for physical & digital. Because physical still was us at the mercy of the studios as much never saw release or things like the "Disney Vault" silliness.
Physical is great, but wasn't as golden as we make it out to be.
Madame Web is so frustrating because there is a concept that with just a few threads would work and make sense. But somehow the filling of the cookie got left out in the process.
Kraven and Morbius are just truly wastes of time indeed.
I don’t know if i can put into words the pain associated/hidden in our elders saying “did what we had to do”
How that elder has taken years of Racist abuse and had to learn to shove the pain of it deep down and pretend to not hurt bc that’s what a Good Negro it’s supposed to do
I got halfway through Morbius, turned it off, never looked back.
Kraven was truly truly awful. I missed the last 20 minutes, and don't care to ever see it.
