Well I am keeping them away from my ears.

Today I heard a 22yo explain that their generation has a general understanding that the world and future we’ve given them sucks really bad so they’re just going to try to be honest and kind with each other and try to avoid the rest of us.

Honestly, this just seems correct and wise all around.

I think you’re not getting the joke but that’s ok, it’s neither obvious nor particularly funny.

But there’s a cumulative lake wobegon effect where it seems like all demos are key just like all children are above average.

27.02.2026 16:22 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

It probably is, but when discussing any other demographic, people tend to also call those β€œkey.” It’s probably just because people generally only discuss demographics that are important in the context of that particular conversation.

27.02.2026 16:22 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I’m sure this is a real thing and important and all that but I’m just saying that I’ve worked in media my whole adult life and I’ve never seen any demographic described as anything other than β€œkey.”

When describing a person with developed muscles and high-healthy body fat (complimentary), does anyone ever say β€œmarbled beef” or β€œbuttery steak” or some permutation thereof? Because I for one would be happy with someone calling me that.

26.02.2026 21:38 πŸ‘ 26 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 7 πŸ“Œ 0

I think I disagree, but that’s a fair opinion.

I think it’s Mamdani getting Trump in the palm of his hand, which looks to have paid off today.

26.02.2026 21:01 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Spot on, imho.

26.02.2026 20:46 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Oh interesting. Yeah, I guess a co-conspirator might have figured β€œeither I get Trump elected or I get Vance elected.”

26.02.2026 20:40 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Yes, but again, we have a lot of evidence that a real bullet did go right by him. If this was a conspiracy, it must have been a botched one, since the risk to Trump was so great.

26.02.2026 20:25 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

The blood was visible before the agents got on him, though.

26.02.2026 19:59 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I’m VERY open to the idea that Ronny Jackson sexed up the injury report tho.

26.02.2026 19:58 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Agree it’s fishy, but we know for sure that a bullet went right by him, right? We know where the shooter was, we know where the victim was, a straight line between them goes right by the podium. That sounds like a real assassination attempt to me.

26.02.2026 19:58 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I mean you could be right! But both of the (allegedly) dead guys had families. That’s a whole lot of people to rope into the biggest conspiracy of our time, with none of them leaking.

26.02.2026 19:26 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah I’m with you with all of that being fishy, except the injury part. A bullet graze really can be as minor as a paper cut, if only a tiny, tiny bit of it catches you as it whizzes by.

26.02.2026 19:05 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah, but if he was actually hit by anything, he’d be scared shitless, right? Regardless of the plan? Also the line between the shooter’s position and victim really does go right by the podium. If it didn’t really graze him then it would have gotten real close.

26.02.2026 19:01 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 4 πŸ“Œ 0

Grandma knows her shit tho

26.02.2026 18:53 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Agree, though I suppose it is possible this was orchestrated by an outside supporter.

26.02.2026 18:44 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah, though if his injury were real, I think he’d be scared shitless regardless. So that brings us back to the notion they used some kind of blood squib.

26.02.2026 18:44 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

Yep, agree that’s fishy as hell, I just can’t come up with an alternative theory I find more believable. Definitely open to it, though!

26.02.2026 18:41 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

That seems like a level of risk Trump would not accept. Are you thinking someone did this plan on his behalf? If I really wanted Trump to win, I’m not sure I would risk having some kid whiz a bullet by his head.

26.02.2026 18:34 πŸ‘ 5 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Sure, but the fact of a dead audience member tells us the bullet was real, right? And the path from the shooter to the victim really did go right by the podium. Seems risky to whiz a live bullet right by Trump’s head, right? And did the shooter know he was going to be killed? What was his motive?

26.02.2026 18:31 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

(Just to put my cards on the table, I also find the official story improbable, I just find all the alternative stories I’ve heard to be more improbable. I’m ready to believe! That’s why I’m interested in specifics.)

26.02.2026 18:23 πŸ‘ 16 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 3 πŸ“Œ 0

So do you think the shooter was actually trying to hit Trump and just missed? Or was he told to shoot elsewhere into the crowd? (I’m not sure I accept your claim about all mass shooters expecting to survive. I think we have some clear cases of suicide by cop, etc.)

26.02.2026 18:16 πŸ‘ 8 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

So do you think he actually grazed Trump? The bullet path from the shooter to the audience member really would have gone right by the podium. And do you think the shooter expected to be killed?
