I'm in it for the long term. The question is should people buy now? But AI will destroy us all in 10 years time so it's all a bit academic ๐

Graph showing current Raspberry Pi stock price at ยฃ5.02, a massive increase from it's prebious price of ~ยฃ2.80.
I knew Raspberry Pi shares were cheap last week at ยฃ2.80 when I grabbed some more.
To the moon!
I ordered a few, things from CPC. One item was dead on arrival but more shocking was that another item was second hand. The packaging seal was broken, internal bags ripped open and the item had obviously been used. So now I need to waste time trying to get my money back. I expected better ๐ก
My RepRapPro Fisher delta is 10 years old. Everyone else in the world seems to change printer every year ๐
Two bottles of dried up Gorilla Glue.
Gorilla Glue. The most useless, expensive glue I've ever attempted to use. If you are lucky you might get to use it once before the whole bottle dries up and you have to throw it away.

I wandered past the Raspberry Pi pop-up shop in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. I may have purchased some items.

As a quick update for anyone finding this post ... I rebuilt my Pi-Hole using the latest Raspberry Pi OS Lite (32 bit) and PH v6. Restored settings from a backup. Everything is running fine on a Raspberry Pi B+. My TV spyware is furious ๐
At #CamJam today talking and showing all things #RaspberryPi. Also taking donations for bits in a box of old (and not so old!) Pi tech. Be interesting to see if old Pis have got any value to people!
Almost managed to update my Pi Hole OLED screen script to use the new V6 API. It's taking me longer to simply control an LED due to gpiozero not liking Python virtual environments.
I remember the days when using an LED was the easy bit!
Started to work on writing up my Psion 5 / #RaspberryPi conversion project over on my blog:

Going to take some time, this one! :-)
I had a much smoother experience once I did a fresh install of Raspberry Pi OS. Imported my settings from a backup and everything worked as expected.
Mine seems to be on 80. What caught me out was despite picking OpenDNS in the setup wizard my DNS resolver settings were empty. Which resulted in no internet for many of my devices. Once I ticked the boxes it's now running perfectly. Hooray!
I suspect the lighttpd was still running alongside the new built in webserver. Just reimaged the SD card, reinstalled Pi-Hole and imported some settings from a backup. All looking good so far.
I didn't realise the next update was a big version otherwise I would have waited. Got it running again but there are some weird issues. The shutdown/reboot/logout buttons are missing from the GUI and the API has changed so my custom oled screen script needs re-writing.
Native. I've just checked it and it is not responding at all so must have died in the night ๐
Pi-Hole screenshot showing CPU usage ate 122.5%.
Just upgraded Pi-Hole to v6. Now it melts my Pi whenever I load the dashboard. Performance is definitely lower than v5 versions. Not sure I ever saw CPU over 50% never mind 122%.
I pulled the trigger and launched the kickstarter for SPOKE this morning.

Want a video showing all the times a Raspberry Pi was used as a prop in TV and Film? Updated for 2024? Of course you do you lucky people!

Just remember to lick that off before using!
The obvious one is to just use it as a low power compact desktop PC. Perfect for day to day tasks without the power consumption.
Next up would be retro gaming.
Looks like another post-Christmas present for me!
That's interesting. Not come across it before. I use Pushover alot for phone notifications. Are you able to compare the two services?

Making good progress with the ST7567S based screen. At some point I'll publish the code. #RaspberryPi #PiPico
I hope you find it. It resonates with me because I've been tidying up and having to be pragmatic about "stuff" I haven't used in 5 years and am unlikely to use in the next. Or ever. But I hate throwing away stuff.
Sounds like my scrap wood and 13A fuse collection.
A Compute Module 5 in a basket of Raspberries
Lots of Compute Modules
My review of the new #Raspberrypi Compute Module 5, and development kit is live on Tom's Hardware. I tested the board, CM4 compatibility, SSDs, cameras, displays and overclocked it to 3 GHz!

I found that the "repeat" feature gets stuck on with short files. I think because the Stop command gets blocked by the rapid incoming data on the UART every time the file finishes.
I've been playing with these modules. I started a draft blog post but got bogged down with various things. I had a lot of issues with the folder structure options, timing of commands and everything got more complicated with short mp3s.
