As I work on this icon, with rain drumming on the studio roof, I think about all the hedgehogs curled up asleep in their leafy beds. If you’re tidying up your garden please check carefully in all the places they might be before using the dreaded strimmer.

Enjoy the spectacle! Not always the case that Scotland has better viewing conditions than the south.
