As we look to celebrate International Women's Day this weekend, let's look at how we can protect all women and girls from online toxicity and violence.
Turn off automatic recommender systems, safeguard against AI and hold big tech to account rather than pander to them.

Israel has violated the βceasefireβ nearly 500 times in 44 days, killing 342 civilians. On October 29th alone the IOF killed 109 Palestinians, including 52 children.
Where is the statement from our Minister, or anyone in Government, condemning this ongoing genocide?
Cowards.
Thank you, Sir, for speaking plain truth.
The country needs more homes built. But in our area, it seems our calls for good planning are being ignored.
I spoke with David McCullagh recently on the need for government to build schools in our area - the area that's delivering more homes than any other. 1/2

Statement on Rotunda Hospital Remaining in Parnell Square accompanied by an RTΓ headline Government drops plan to move Rotunda to Connolly Hospital
As a board member of the hospital, I welcome the decision by Government to drop the planned relocation of the Rotunda to Connolly hospital. The Rotunda has been at the heart of Dublin City for over 280 years, and is a key part of the inner city's built and social heritage. Women deserve quality healthcare, in a hospital that is up to the highest standards. A new planning application must be submitted as soon as possible for the critical care unit expansion, so that mothers and new born babies can receive the care they deserve in an appropriate, fit for purpose setting.
Great news! As a board member Iβm delighted to see this hospital remain a part of our community, where it has been for literal centuries.

The corporate media don't want you to know this, but offer people genuine social and ecological justice combined with ambition, and most of us will rally behind it.
We're seeing examples of this all over the world, and it's what hope looks like.
Landlords seem to be squeezing tenants more than ever.
I've been hearing so many more horror stories than usual that I'm doing a series to highlight what's happening out there with landlords and renters, what your rights are and how you can access supports.

Netanyahu is hiding in a bunker in Berlin.
You really can't make this shit up.
So, the president of European Commission, supposedly speaking on behalf of EU, hasnβt a single word of criticism for illegal US/Israeli attack on Iran, instead blaming Iran for trying to defend itself.
The same VDL cowardice we saw in #Gaza.
Small wonder the US treats Europe like a bad joke.

New poll. Scottish Greens to overtake Labour and Tories in Scotland. Labour: 15 MSPs. Greens: 16 MSPs. Tory: 9 MSPs. On May 7th vote Scottish Greens.
π¨ NEW POLL!
Another new poll has the Scottish Greens overtaking both Labour and the Tories in May's Scottish Parliament election.
This May there's hope. We can build a fairer, greener, independent Scotland. π

A whopping 41% for the Greens in Manchester π±
Now there is hope! It's no longer a choice between grim and grimmer. We can vote for who we want and win. Anywhere.
It's just one constituency, but the Green victory in Gorton and Denton is an electric shock to our political system.

So much positivity and unity at todayβs protest against the governments SNA plan (or lack thereof). It was inspiring to see so many people come together and to hear from parents, carers, SNAs, and the kids who need them to get through school.

Giant tortoises and other key native species are now thriving, and being reintroduced where lost, on the unique GalapΓ‘gos Islands ecosystems.
This is only possible due to the eradication of alien invasives like goats and rats, often a *crucial* part of rewilding.

The scheme, fought for by Catherine Martin and the Green Party, was wildly successful. That's a sign that it should be expanded, to more artists, and more sectors of society.
Michael Gove smeared Zack Polanski over his opposition to Israel's genocide.
