Fox News coverage is as bad as you'd expect.
That said, nearly everything else was better. The walkable cities, the people on the streets, the art, the vibe. We were a bit early for the tourist crush, so that wasn't a problem. We couldn't live there full-time -- too hot in the summer. But part time, yes, please.
We spent a month in Spain in May. Had a similar reaction. We were in Seville and mostly along the north coast, ending in Barcelona. We LOVED it. Except for the food. We started hunting for veggies. It would often take us to "lesser" restaurants and chains that had salads on the menu.

I had the same feeling today. I'm in Portland, and the lying about the conditions here is unreal. When will it reach the breaking point where the MSM doesn't call it out for what it is? It's not an opinion, it's not a characterization, it's a lie with a purpose.
Didn't people freak out when President Carter got involved with the management of the WH tennis court schedules? Now we have a whole other level of micromanagement, combined with a stunning lack of detail management on things that matter. And there is the constant lying. And dementia.
