Haha, yeah I remember that. Well he did get a Masters Degree in engineering, whether he deserved it or not. Money might have bought his degree.
He was purposely getting rid of engineers as well cuz he really didn't want an engineering team. He considered himself in engineer which technically he was but very much out of practice. He also tended to ignore engineering principles in general.
Someone who got what he wanted all the time throughout his entire life. Nobody ever told him no and he surrounded himself at Ocean gate with people that just said yes.
It's so maddening, isn't it?
Yes! Robert Stockton is the grandson of Richard Stockton, who signed the Declaration of Independence. So he's certainly related.

The Titan submersible outside in the cold with its machinery in its tail cone exposed to the elements.
To save money, OceanGate left the Titan submersible outside in a parking lot in St. John's, Newfoundland for 3 months during the Canadian winter, exposing the carbon fiber hull and Titan's machinery to freezing temperatures. (1/2)🧵

I think that is when David Lochridge knew Rush was an insane douchebag.
And thanks for listening!
