Why didn’t the Telegraph check the survey before publishing this?
The last question literally gives the option to say you strongly oppose a lynx reintroduction.

A complex illustration of a thriving landscape populated with grazing herbivores, birds of prey flying overhead, lizards crossing rocks and mixed deciduous woodland.
An elk in a wetland landscape illustration, while a raptor with a fish in its claws flies overhead and flowers covered with pollinators crowd the foreground.
This illustration shows a large horned cow sitting in a field, surrounded by plants, insects and other grazing animals.
All you need to know about how large herbivores transform the land through their dynamic behaviours 🦬
The Large Herbivore Working Group created these illustrations to bring their rolling, stamping, chewing and wallowing to life. (Illustrations by Lauren Hulbert Design)

It’s so wonderful to have such a prominent political voice printing the amazing rewilding movement!
Who would co-ordinate and fund it?
Would they be able to deliver the range of work being done?
Would important work be missed?
These questions make me think that it probably would not actually achieve more or better nature recovery.
The nature cure: how time outdoors transforms our memory, imagination and logic. Without engaging with natural environments, our brains cease to work well. Exposure to nature isn’t a luxury – it’s a necessity.

Totally understand what you are saying. Hard to be nuanced on social media, let’s chat over a beer.
I’ve seen some hysterical comments on this news.
The last thing nature needs is for rewilding to become a political football or culture war.
If reform have sensible policies for nature that is only a good thing, no matter what you may think about them.

The tannins in the outer case oxidise as it gets ready for germination, and cracks open, that creates the red pigment you see on the outside of the cotyledons.
A vote for hope not hate!
It time for people to vote for hope not hate.
An opportunity for people to vote for hope over hate!
We occasionally get these on the cliffs in Dover.
Please spread this far and wide, as stories don't get much bigger than this. When the government blocks even the intelligence services from telling us we're heading for environmental catastrophe, you know we have a problem. A very big problem.
Thank you.

Loved seeing a lynx being celebrated like this!
Yes but it is not easy!
It’s so refreshing to see a message of hope these days.
Amazing for wildwood to win this award at the House of Commons last night. We do the small important stuff add well as the big bison stuff!

Nature is essential to national security.
New government assessment recognises the very real risks of ecological collapse.

OUR BISON DOCUMENTARY IS LIVE!
The award-winning documentary follows Wildwood Trust’s Bison & Rewilding Ranger, Donovan Wright, as he journeys to Poland’s ancient Białowieża Forest, uncovering how Europe’s gentle giants are transforming entire ecosystems!

No surprise at all - we all know that they will be Tufton Street, oil companies and American Christian Nationalists and associated anti abortion groups.
The red billed chough is a great example of where the umbrella species approach has worked well. The reintroduction has changed grazing activities in the surrounding area, reduced pesticide use and is increasing invertebrate biodiversity and abundance.
Am I being panderd to?
How very dare you!
