I just keep thinking of all those in Australia who've had friends and family massacred by Israel, including volunteers like Zomi Frankcom - to see Herzog, the political symbol of Israel's racist violence, genocidal hatred and apartheid - paraded and feted by Australia's political class.

The News Corp campaign for a royal commission is like pushing on a string - the other media just following their lead and Labor too cowed to push back. No rationale, no questions, no interrogation of the problems. The whole thing is genuinely stupid.

Pretty weird irony: the Very Serious People are proposing hate speech laws that stifle criticism of this kind of hate speech - to protect people who support or ignore it.

I honestly don’t know what’s more concerning. That the president of the United States keeps falling asleep in public or that everyone around him is too scared to wake him up.

We see this everywhere now. Politicians spin tales that crumble under the weight of facts, yet millions cheer as if truth were a matter of popularity. Media empires profit from outrage rather than accuracy.
