*help* was because everything that was presented isn’t true. LLMs.txt don’t do anything atm. Has been discredited by other experts & definitely doesn’t work like a robots.txt.

Second - agree with you on undermining ourselves. We create so many of our own problems in SEO by misrepresenting our work.

There are so many smart people doing good, creative problem solving in this industry that doesn’t get the credit it deserves.

First of all - love your talks. I moved a meeting back today so I could make sure I got to attend.

The passion always comes across very genuinely and the “yelling at us” is what that is! That’s always how I interpret it.

I don’t think it replaces local rank tracking, but I do think you can use it to help identify large, at scale ranking improvements.

Match it with where you’re getting more impressions and you can get a better idea of which pages are performing for the term at scale.

I was on a thread/post hating on the avg position metric in GSC recently and I think I finally found a useful application in my ten years of SEO reporting 😅

Avg position is great for looking at one keyword for large multilocation businesses where they could rank differently in many markets.
