A class photo in front of the AIMS building in Muizenberg, Cape Town.
A selfie with students at AIMS in Muizenberg, Cape Town.
Just returned from an inspiring three weeks at AIMS (aims.ac.za) in Cape Town, where I taught Generative AI with @eijkelboomfloor.bsky.social.
I was really impressed with these students, who are engaged, very hard working, and asked some of the best questions that I have ever had in class!
Super happy to share our work was accepted as an Oral at the Delta Workshop @ ICLR 2025! π
Canβt wait to talk about it in Singapore π
Congrats to the amazing team @eijkelboomfloor.bsky.social @alisometry.bsky.social @erikjbekkers.bsky.social π₯
π€Ή Excited to share Erwin: A Tree-based Hierarchical Transformer for Large-scale Physical Systems
joint work with @wellingmax.bsky.social and @jwvdm.bsky.social
preprint: arxiv.org/abs/2502.17019
code: github.com/maxxxzdn/erwin
Super excited about this project!! Amazing work by @olgatticus.bsky.social and others β€οΈ
π Super excited to announce the first ever Frontiers of Probabilistic Inference: Learning meets Sampling workshop at #ICLR2025 @iclr-conf.bsky.social!

This is happening today! Unfortunately I couldn't be there, but go talk to @eijkelboomfloor.bsky.social @gbarto.bsky.social @jwvdm.bsky.social about our work on Variational Flow Matching.
I'll be at Neurips too! π¦ Hmu if you want to chat about (variational) flow matching or physics inspired generative modeling!

I will be at NeurIPS this week. @amlab.bsky.social will be presenting 10 papers in total, and I myself am involved with 3 (see thread).
I am also *hiring* for a postdoc position on data-efficient surrogate models for fluid dynamics. Come talk to me if you are on the market!
π Come and check out Variational Flow Matching for Graph Generation next week at @neuripsconf.bsky.social ! π

Great introduction to diffusion and flow matching + some recent works from our lab π
Thanks all who helped out and commented in this thread with tips and tricks!
I gave a talked recently on some work we have been doing in the lab that incorporated aspects from several of the responses.

Yesterday @ellisamsterdam.bsky.social hosted the yearly NeurIPS-Fest, a pre-party for NeurIPS with a keynote talk, poster session, drinks and bites! πΊπ»
The keynote was by @canaesseth.bsky.social , who talked about "Diffusion, Flows and other stories", presenting his 5 papers accepted at NeurIPS! π₯
Thanks to the organizers and participants for such an inspiring event and poster session! π€©
The drinks and snacks were also well appreciated, as @maxxxzdn.bsky.social demonstrates π
During the poster session, AMLab members presented their NeurIPS papers. π¨π¦
If you will also be in Vancouver, make sure to check them out! π§
