How do they know? We were in bed It was in the middle of the night. I woke up with a strange anxiety. My mind started racing as I tried to deep breathe. I didn’t move. I lay quiet. But all of a sudden, Jasper got up from the foot of the bed and laid across my feet. How did he know?

Then I heard them calling out heretics and unbelievers. It was too much. I had to pack my stuff up and leave. 😐

I needed a day away so I went to Panera Bread. I found a table in the back and was working on a writing project when two men sat at the table next to me. I could hear the Bible verses and the explanations that you can’t know but you must believe.

It really touched my heart.

Any day would be good. 🥰

Later as I was walking out, he caught me again to make a confession. He admitted he’d followed me around the store hoping to get a chance to pet Jasper. His pain at his loss was real.

Weather was bad so I took Jasper to Home Depot. We were walking up and down the aisles when a gentleman came up and asked if he could pet my dog. I said sure, and he squatted down and ruffled Jaspers long coat while telling me he just lost his Aussie.

If only we were more inclined to believe the medical people and not the crazies.
