I have not done anything at all in ny week and a half of unemployment. Ive been trying to do comics stuff but I just end up sitting all day. ☹️

I think the second one evokes more of a dark tone, like theres a sense of alarm and urgency. I think the stronger sense of doom wins for me. The first one is much softer and Im not sure if she should be frightened or concerned about the background figure or if maybe dude's a friend come to say hi.

No need to apologize. Machinery and equipment is all technology. Even if they are portrayed as preferring non-computerized technology, they still are heavily reliant and utilize technology to varying degrees. There are also some Amish communities with phones and computers for work, it's not rare.

Honestly, mentioning the Amish in this context and in this way looks silly. Its not a substantive or relevant argument for or against AI use.

The Amish dont "shun" technology. They selectively use technologies based on what their communities decide is useful to them and to what extent their use will be controlled for the desired communal outcomes. They just have different values that centre on religious life goals and duties to their God.
