Only 3 ish “music video” moments truly worked for me this season. When Vi and Jinx go at it in act one and it immediately went into song it just took all of the wind out of the sails.
I think the show is excellent but this season especially shows a lack of artistic maturity. The way it uses needle drops constantly and undercuts all the emotional moments with a song is infuriating and makes what should be a 9.5/10 a flat 8.
Act 1 was especially egregious for me.

Yes. I also think it’s a really bad choice, way too much diffusion and everything is flaring cause of it. Might be a cultural thing or something though.
