Why are you surprised? The man has a .694 winning percentage. Isn’t it obvious that hating Nick is part of Philadelphia’s peculiar dysfunction, not an accurate depiction of his ability?

Williams is the right age, but it does feel like Hinton and Pierce are too old to be projects. I’m more forgiving with Kendall and Lampkin.
Just for information, I checked the ages at the time of drafting, but I have no clue if these guys were significantly older than other team’s lines.
Dickerson: 22
Hinton: 23
Jurgens: 22
Kendall: 23
Lampkin: 23
Mailata: 21
Pierce: 23
Steen: 22
Williams: 21
The awful truth is that Roberts probably did this to save the GOP in the midterms, not because the law plainly forbids the president from imposing tariffs in the absence of a genuine emergency.

How does the second half of that post flow from the first half? Like, if AJ dropped the ball, how is that on Nick?
100%. I keep trying to tell folks that the incredibly simple Eagles offense works great when the line is healthy. It was not healthy in 2025.
Plus, AJ‘s hamstring was obviously hurt all season. A Ferrari with a flat tire isn’t outracing anyone.
I make up my own lyrics. “Arise, and kill the Hun! The Boche will be destroyed!”
My fake lyrics are actually pretty similar to the real thing.
Is it weird that every time they play the Marseillaise during the Olympics, I think of this?
Great news! Waterstones has selected my forthcoming book, “Gangster of New York,” for a special promotion.
The book is 25% off from now until February 20th.

You know the old joke about tainted money in academia?
T’aint enough of it!!!
Yesterday morning kids were sent running from their bus stop in panic because ICE showed up. This guy at today’s ICE Out of Lindenwold protest is a must watch 😭. @maddow.bsky.social
Better than 11-6, first place?
I agree that Patullo needed to go.
I’m just BlueSky’s lone Nick defender. 🤡
As for Jalen, I think he’s imperfect as we all are. But clearly he’s a championship-caliber QB, inasmuch as he’s almost won two championships!
First of all, I love your column.
Second, your mailbag answer focused on Jalen’s running last year. I’m saying the line play affected that.
Third, Nick’s approach in 2024 depended on running out the clock, then occasionally going for kill shots. But that can’t work if three linemen are injured.
NEW: Hundreds of judges around the country have ruled more than 4,400 times since October that President Donald Trump’s administration is detaining immigrants unlawfully, a Reuters review of court records found.
The government keeps doing it nonetheless.

I continue to boggle that fans blame the QB and the coach when the offensive line was OBVIOUSLY terrible due to multiple injuries.
Have we learned nothing?
If you want to commit some federal crimes, now is the time, and Syracuse is the place!

It’s also bizarre (and kinda racist) that they’re comparing those acts to the most popular artist in the world, who happens to be a US citizen by birth.
People struggle with the fact that some years have good QB prospects and others don’t. Jalen had the misfortune to be in a draft with Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Tua, and Jordan Love. Had Jalen graduated in 2024, he would have won the Heisman and probably been the first pick in the draft.
I like to remind folks that Jalen’s season at Oklahoma was insane: 52 total TDs, 11 TOs. 191 rating. It was only overshadowed by the fact that Joe Burrow had the greatest season in NCAA history the same year.
This is all well said and analyzed.
Jalen is maybe the smartest QB runner I have ever seen. Just runs for the sideline. Takes what they give him.
And his ability to succeed at the push play is just immensely valuable. When his career is over, he will likely have the record for QB rushing TDs.
11-6 and winning the division isn’t a tailspin. And the press attempt to present it as such is a form of collective mental illness, brought on my sports radio and the quest for clicks.
It’s very unlikely that Jalen gets three rings. Only four QBs in history have done that: Brady, Montana, Bradshaw, and Mahomes. That’s the inner circle.
Meanwhile, there are much lesser QBs in the Hall.
No to the first point, probably yes to the second.
One more SB appearance will be enough for Jalen. There are zero QBs with three SB appearances not in the HOF.
The obvious comparison is Russell Wilson, who will be a marginal Hall of Famer when he’s eligible. He has two appearances, one win.
There are only two eligible QBs in NFL history with two SB starts and one SB win not in the HOF: Jim Plunkett and Eli Manning.
People need to process the fact that Jalen Hurts will very likely make the Hall of Fame, and all the QBs that pundits insist are superior most likely will not.
Remember 2023, when 24 yo Jalen Hurts was the best player on the field in Super Bowl LVII? Then, two years later, he was MVP of the big game?
Yet despite this, “experts” will consistently rank Drake Maye above him next season.
It’s frustrating, but the offensive line was as much of a problem as Patullo.
One of my hypotheses was that Howie wanted to cut or trade either Cam or Landon, both of whom had awful years due to injuries, and Stoutland was opposed.
