Sure would hate to meet other grateful dead butches…. That would be terrible…. 👀👀👀👀
he claimed that he had a permit to hold his world's specialest little fascist birthday boy party in the rotunda of the building but didn't bother to actually get one and seemed unaware that city hall is always closed on saturdays.

writing a poem a day if I can, to try to learn how to love my voices — the one out loud and the ‘author’s voice’ too.
It also tends to lean very ‘if you disagree with me you are BOO BOO THE FOOL’ even though no one’s publishing journey is the same. Dude on Facebook, you do not have All The Answers, maybe take a deep breath?
Watching folks give publishing advice on Facebook is always so interesting. Some of it is very relevant! Some of it feels like it’s coming from someone who has never been in a bookstore?
Sometimes the biggest win of the day is just breathing through it.
Sitzprobe time for cabaret!!!!
And honestly loss of respect is mild. It’s wild to look at large celebrities and have concrete evidence they don’t care about my community. Just out in the open, treated like a fun little fact… not even headline worthy.
Disgusting.
It makes me feel kinda crazy. Shows how rich and famous folks live in a different world… it’s such an obvious no, for me. Teachers come into my bookshop and talk about it all the time. And then these people are like oh… haven’t really thought about it much.
Immediate loss of respect for me.
It will make your prose better. Dialogue, especially (at least I found).
It’s an investment in your prose. There’s no hiding in comics writing — and your ability to choreograph in prose will improve too.
All types of writing are connected. Improving one is improving them all.
Got to experience a moment where after the director went over a scene, the whole cast was struck silent.
A room full of actors? Silent all at once?
You KNOW it was something real special.
(It’s so good I love stage managing)
Hey Vancouver and area locals — wanna see some damn good theatre in a few weeks?
Come see Cabaret.
This is a new theatre company, doing a show filled with such passion and frank relevance.
(Not local? Share this so locals can find it!)
My head is in my hands. Didn’t see the news until after I responded.
♥️⛵️
I also asked here who in xmen would play them two boys (r and g) and she said Skin as R and Chamber as G.
“Beast wants to be involved but I’m casting him as Claudius.”
I said this out loud (as I do any ragad I find in the wild, as it’s my girlfriend’s favourite) and now she is just reciting the whole scene.
If red and blue were ever interested in one big wife… I would support them. Personally.
They are exactly the kind of small presses we need, and I appreciate them so much, as an author and as a reader.
So go check them and their rad back catalogue out! And not just because my novella is there.
Also, can I just say? I’m maybe bias, but their covers are STUNNING.

Hey, know who is a cool small business? @meerkatpress.bsky.social
Meerkat bought a short story of mine in 2017 — my first ever sale. Since then, they’ve supported my every win. They expressed interest in a novella from me, and 5(?) YEARS LATER, i sent them twice spent comet.
They loved it. 💫
The protomen are so fun!
I FORGOT MARINA—
that is so sad
Introduce yourself with 5 concerts you’ve been to —

The hate and bias that is hidden behind ‘real name’ is second only to ‘biological’ tbh. Fucking hell.
Anybody who is like “Piracy is activism!”—trust me, supporting your local library is about 1000% more effective activism, and it’s still free for you and authors still get paid!
Aw, thanks!?!
No preference on my part! You can order through your local bookstore if you’d like, because local bookstores are awesome, but I don’t have any preference for how one buys it.
I work at a warehouse bookstore combo that is just for librarians and teachers. If we see a few teachers order a book, we bring it in. I’ve seen books go from new release to reading circle standard. Because a few people ordered it so it ended up on our shelves, and a district worker saw it.
twice-spent comet 💫
Gonna be real vulnerable for a sec but like.
My novella is a year old next week.
And the fact that some of my closest people haven’t read it yet occasionally just guts me.
I understand. I don’t want anyone to feel forced to read my stuff, friend or no.
But fuck, it makes me sad.
I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
