Jonathan Frid as Barnabas Collins Oil on 16"x20" gessobord (Dec. 30, 2021) A personal study, and a gift to my wife. (We were both big fans of the original 'Dark Shadows' in the late '60's). 🙂 🙂 I was trying to create a more detailed portrait of Jonathan Frid as Barnabas Collins of "Dark Shadows" based on the portrait that hung in the mansion when Barnabas made his first appearance in 1967. The original prop portrait was done with a producer in 1770's costume siting in prior to the actor being hired for the part. Jonathan's face was added later, resulting in the head shape not exactly matching the actor. I thought I'd give a try at making a more realistic portrait to match the actors actual head shape.

Allow me to introduce “Roxy, the Oriental Dancer” in the Smooth As Silk Show in the Erickson Theatre Off Broadway, (produced by Roxy & Oriental Bliss Productions). According to Roxy, “It was an improvised dance so totally spontaneous. The dance style is called Oriental Dance / Raqs Sharqi /Dance of the East.”

It turned out to be a little hard to work with, the 'glow' particles tend to clump together.

Loois and Sadee in Mellon Park Oil on 18"x24" Aluminum Panel (Finished July 1, 2020) A commissioned oil pet portrait of two dogs in a park 'Loois' in the back and 'Sadee' with the tennis ball up front. Along with the happy dogs, I wanted to do the park justice. This is Mellon Park in Pittsburgh and in researching details on the gate metal work, I found many weddings have taken place at that particular gate. The location is a local land mark.
