Royal Mail lost a handmade clay item I posted via recorded delivery, spent two months investigating, then compensated me with £13 worth of stamps and a letter saying, “I hope you are happy with the outcome.” Reader, I was not. 📮

I made this little resin turtle with shell fragments and semi-precious stones, and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. I also made a sea-themed coaster using resin and black sand. I’ve been finding crafting really helpful for unwinding lately. #crafting #resin

I’ve been thinking recently about how poetry can function as an aesthetic act of survival. I don’t have any firm conclusions about what it means to take this idea seriously as yet but I’d be grateful for any thoughts or resources others might want to share.

Another line of theory/evidence on this: MOHO influenced in part by Drew Leder’s The Absent Body, who was influenced in turn by Merleau-Ponty’s Phenomenology of Perception. He construed the body as an “I can”, when things are going smoothly, in absence of illness or disability. Goes back to Husserl.

That’s a good observation. I’m much more familiar with Twitter in general and haven’t been on Bluesky long enough to really get to grips with it yet.
