Duration of play would depend on whether you're, say, a solo/lead instrument or just backing. Ballpark of an hour (maybe two) without a break.
Metal wind instruments are fairly fragile. The sax is also a reed instrument and the reeds and mouthpiece are especially fragile. A musician would typically keep half a dozen reeds in their case.
Not a sax player but I do play (for pleasure not pay!) other woodwind instruments, so I can give you some ballpark answers.
I don't know what they are talking about. I've never noticed anything out of the ordinary about your commentary. I think it's very clear and appropriate. The topics of your videos need a slightly slower, less chatting narrative to allow the viewer to take everything in.
