In great news, last week council approved funding to establish a public park at Mātai Moana/Mt Crawford on the Miramar Peninsula. A couple of bureaucratic hurdles still to be jumped, but we’re on our way to building on the community’s work to rid the area of pests and creating a second Zealandia!

I don’t think the issue with the coin is about the thousands of people who will lose money as much as the small handful of people who will absolutely make a ton of money.

I would have agreed with you back in June, but the way he closed out his term was one of the biggest own-goals in history. It arguably cost us the election and so, so much more. He never should have run again.

This is such a good point. If one country does bad things, it means other countries get to do as many bad things as they want. Cause that’s how advance civilisation in a meaningful, fair, and productive way.

The world wars became world wars rather than regional conflicts due to robust alliances on both sides, and we don’t have that today. NATO is strong, but Russia doesn’t have any real allies. They’re maxed out in UKR, and the last thing China needs is global unrest. They rely way too much on EU/USA.
