It’s amazing, though depending on your use case keep an eye out for baffling DNS issues if you have subnet routers and normal nodes on the same LAN.

I had breakfast with former coworkers and we all discussed work for an hour. The things we are frustrated with and spend time discussing are 90% organizational and human issues. Not technical tooling. All conferences are the inverse. I wish there was a tech conf focused less on tooling.
It’s pretty nice, and you can use PowerShell to call it, but don’t because omg the escape characters become hell on desktop.
Or making peace with rephrasing “but what problem does this solve” 1-5x daily for the rest of your career
Love to see announcements on SPN and CLI support! Nerds rule!
Thrilled to see the #MicrosoftFabric keynote by Amir Netz!

congrats to all the liberals calling the attacks on trans people in the U.S. "tragic but inconsequential since there aren't all that many of them" for finally finding out what they'd have done in 1930s germany

Actually I’ll just put them here.

Sure thing! I’ll DM you some technical book references shortly.
Forgot to point out this doesn’t apply for CCI in SQL Server or Synapse, just the read heavy analytics focused implementations of VertiPaq.
Another thing to note is that VertiPaq handles joins through pre-computed hashmaps (called relationships) that are rebuilt anytime a table in the join changes. The hashmap sits in the CPU cache and this avoids regular join perf concerns. Another read-focused design choice.
I will continue to protect my friends and framily.
At least it vaguely means something, unlike the advertising world madness of calling adtech “programmatic”some years back.
I hate it, yet love it.
I expect it has wider usage than Goals at least
