There is going to be a slow reckoning over the coming years about all of the crazy illegal behavior from the Trump administration and the institutions that enabled them. But I doubt there will ever be meaningful consequences.

President "give me a Nobel Peace Prize" is already lining up another war he wants to start.

When you goad people into believing that what a college student, without institutional, financial or social capital, writes on poster is bigger threat than what a regime cabinet member says from lectern, you've hacked being anti-semitic & using it as cover to silence valid dissent.

What happens when the Administration illegally taxes people? One answer is: they can simply refuse to return the money. What happens when a serial grifter who has stolen his whole life illegally taxes? He definitely refuses to return the money.

Gonna start a second war to distract people from the first one.

I too remember the earlier, woke wars. tons of spent microaggression munitions strewn about everywhere, friends crying out for God as they were slowly cancelled...look, if you weren't there, you'll never understand

This is an under-emphasized point. Congress has gotten very comfortable just letting Trump take power, in part because he does the unpopular stuff many members like.

@okcoolstorybro on Polymarket Check out this profile on Polymarket.

Did this single trader bet more than $34,000 that Kristi Noem would be fired this month just a couple of hours before she was in fact fired?

Kristi Noem gave her political operative a no-bid contract worth $143,000,000 of taxpayer money to make Fox News ads starring her at Mt. Rushmore. We will be following this story on a daily basis if it turns out that Hunter Biden was involved.

Are we sure Trump didn't get a taste?

05.03.2026 14:59 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I doubt she'll be fired soon. Trump won't do it during a DHS shutdown and the chaos around ICE. So, all Noem needs is another scandal from another department to distract attention, which in this administration should just be a matter of hours.

Then again, my predictions are rarely correct.

Once you start torpedoing ships in international waters, that are not involved in conflict, you cease to have a limited theater of war.

You have taken a war global.

Every single US asset and citizen, worldwide, just became a target.

Catastrophically reckless.

Well if this ain't just the 10th amendment fact pattern from hell. I don't see how the federal government can require a state to continue permitting someone to practice before its own courts consistent with the principle of divided sovereignty. public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2026-04390.p...

ICE goons stole property from people and then refused to return it. Only after the judge threatens to put a govt lawyer in prison do most of those cases β€œresolve”, while the govt admits some property is simply gone. (Recall reports of ICE selling electronics they took from people.)

The open-air corruption in this administration is striking, until you recall that's Trump's MO. Do crazy stuff and act like it's normal, and somehow people accept it. What's surprising about Polymarket is that they're hiding behind anonymity. I'd have expected Trump to brag about it.

Update, 1:25 p.m. March 3: In a move that melds the unprofessionalism of the Justice Department under Attorney General Pam Bondi with the rule-by-shifting-Truth-social-decrees attitude of President Donald Trump, the two DOJ lawyers on the law firm executive order cases filed a motion on Tuesday to withdraw their Monday motion to dismiss the law firm order case appeals.

Yes, now DOJ wants to continue the appeals.

The motion provided no reasoning for the reversal, with Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward and Deputy Associate Attorney General Abhishek Kambli simply stating that β€œit is the prerogative of Defendant-Appellants to pursue this appeal.β€œ

Per the motion, the lawyers for the law firms β€œoppose the government’s unexplained request to withdraw yesterday’s voluntary dismissal, to which all parties had agreed.β€œ

They also noted that, regardless, this should not provide DOJ with yet another excuse for delay in the case, specifically referencing DOJ’s forthcoming Friday deadline for filing its combined brief in the appeals.
