I read the report (briefly) and it says to hire more EA’s, cap classroom sizes (by grade/age needs), invest in FSCD, PUF, early learning…. Which is 100% what was said from the beginning by ATA and teachers, now they are rebranding it as “their idea” from “their committee”?

Worse, I think he is using it to get clout because he hates Smith and knows his following is the divide between UCP and PC. He knows forever Canadian has significant clout with the senior voter base. To not tag Thomas and take credit for making a big announcement like this is highly suspicious.

So explain how continuing to fall significantly behind other provinces, and then later having to make up those amounts by $5 increases not $1 increases, would be more beneficial for businesses? You’d think businesses (and economy) would be better able to accommodate small incremental changes.

Despite Minister Amery’s previous commitment to release the report publicly when available, the Smith government has done an about-face. Nothing says guilty like concealing unflattering (at best) and potentially criminal (at most) findings.

Danielle Smith Displaying citizenship on drivers license is Alberta’s version of apartheid. All provincial programs are equally available to citizens and permanent residents. There isn’t one true reason for this, other than populist nativism and shunning of newcomers.
