The rare Nintendo lawsuit you can get behind.
These are the 4 things AI can do well:
•Clean up your email inbox (badly)
•Give my shittiest neighbor (Alan) something to talk about at a party
•Tell a 12 yr old to kill himself
•Incinerate a school at 10:16 AM on a Tuesday
You can see why we need to base our economy around it
I cannot wait for all these fucking loser companies to go bankrupt.
Presumably she means Israel yeah but honestly who even knows what batshit conspiracies she's weaving now
I know it's mostly just a grift but even pretending to be this utterly deranged has got to be doing some kind of psychic damage to herself.
Some people got pretty mad online about people mocking his passing but I don't know if anyone has quite so egregiously spat on his grave as much as Candace has.
He's tired of even pretending to give a shit anymore.
NOEM TAKING QUESTIONS - DOES NOT APPEAR TO KNOW SHE WAS FIRED
lol apparently trump has fired Kristi Noem. Potential public crash-out incoming.
Yeah it's all just adding to the risk of people's identities being exposed. Even if they're well-intentioned it's so terribly thought-out, and once laws like this are made it's hard to unmake them or reverse course.
All of the arguments in favour of this approach in regards to safety repeatedly ignore the risk being posed to people by handing over their personal information. Every different service, website or software you have to do this on -or collects and processes it- increases the risk of it being misused.
There's a very intentional move here to surveil people online who are breaking no laws or doing anything wrong, and even in the best case scenarios where people are simply misguided, any implementation of a system that collects personal data can be either expanded on or abused in some way.
It's wild that the discourse has shifted away from parental responsibility or parental controls on software onto requiring everyone over 18 to hand over their ID to god knows who, stored god knows where, and most of the time you'll never even know if this data was improperly transferred or breached.
Everything this bozo says makes sense if you imagine him as the weaselly Dennis Nedry from Jurassic Park
Good morning! Yes, this is he
Now over to our secretary of war on the w- I mean special military operation in Iran. Over to you Pete.
No I think it's really cool that the online media ecosystem is slowly being replaced by generative AI and everyone is copying everyone else's homework and mass fabricating stories out of thin air. Nothing at all to worry about.
All these freaks care about is getting in their little sound bites for social media attention. Maybe Nancy Mace should spend a little less time worrying about her engagement on social media we know how that went with getting her staff to upvote her pictures on gooner subreddits.
These might be a prototype model or a specific version I'm not sure, but they all tend to look rather thick. Presumably because of all the tech that's inside them.
It just wouldn't make sense when they're still trying to get a huge section of Windows 10 users to make the move to 11. Maybe in like 4 or 5 years or something but not like within the next year. That's be really stupid even for them.
I'm torn because I can believe Microsoft is genuinely that stupid but at the same time it's all from one source-less article that's basically saying "we heard it from some people" and a bunch of other sites are just based on that one article.
FYI the Windows 12 thing seems to be some unsubstantiated rumour that a bunch of sites have all picked up on. As funny as it would be to watch Microsoft step on even more rakes this one is probably not true. They'll probably stick with Windows 11 for a while.
Mark Zuckerberg presenting his Pervert Glasses for perverts
I'm not sure about this branding but I'm not the billionaire business genius
People have little sway over how the convergence of generative AI and surveillance is making our lives worse but we can all do our best to do a little reputational brand damage.
Glad people are settling on the term "pervert glasses". Bonus points if you also say it while posting a picture of Mark Zuckerberg or call them Mark Zuckerberg's pervert glasses.
i'm taking a brave stance that may get me canceled: there is no reason for the pervert glasses to exist
