The Government wants to remove jury trials so it can declare everyone who protests against it GUILTY.
Without a jury being able to tell them no.
That is the ONLY reason for getting rid of Jury Trials.

The more I think on it the more I think Dragon Quest III might be my personal favorite in the series so far. It hits a really good sweet spot in terms of player expression and a world that feels interesting to explore, plus an underlying story I think gels really well with that.
