A 4-panel comic. I'm dressing up my 3yo daughter to go outside. As I'm doing so, she says "Logan's name starts with an N!" So I reply "No, it's a L." She insists: "No, it's an N." I say "Logan starts with L." She shouts: "IT'S AN N!!!" So I reply on a firmer tone: "Annette, you have two Ns in your name". Finally she starts crying and yells "IT STARTS WITH N WAAAAAAAH" And I say, also louder, "I'M NOT LETTING YOU WIN THIS ONE"

I do not expect everyone who comes to my table to buy something. You don’t gotta tell the creators you have no money, they also have no money. You can just make eye contact, tell them you really like their work and subscribe to their newsletter. That goes a long long way!

I stop brushing and turn toward him, replying "How do you even...? I'm confused." He says "Don't you? How do you NOT get your hands wet when rinsing your toothbrush?" I demonstrate as I wet just the bristles and not the handle, thus keeping my hand dry.

Am I not using the toothbrush as intended?

Just rinsing his whole hand for some reason

I stop brushing and turn toward him, replying "How do you even...? I'm confused." He says "Don't you? How do you NOT get your hands wet when rinsing your toothbrush?" I demonstrate as I wet just the bristles and not the handle, thus keeping my hand dry.

Because of the font choice, I wasn't sure what exactly I was reading. NoL? NoÏ (with a capital i)? Number 1? Eventually, they added another letter to the brand name, spelling "nola". And then the week after, the shop had a new name: "noon". I'm confused.

A 4-panel comic. There was a small book fair at my oldest daughter Margot's elementary school. As I browse the books laid out on the tables, I find some of the kids' books I illustrated. Thinking to myself that it's cool they are there, a kid I don't know shows up and grabs one of my books and says "HEY DAD! We can finally get Margot's mom's books!" My daughter arrives and starts suggesting my books to her friends-- "If you buy these, my mom can draw in them for you!" So I end up sitting at one of the tables, signing books for the other parents, thinking "How did this happen...?"
