Wood anemones are full of bees this afternoon.
Snowdrop season is just about over as wood anemone season begins. This is another woodland plant that I continually dig, divide & transplant to other areas of our woodlands. It’s such a beauty

Don’t forget crocuses. All bees and hover flies absolutely love crocuses. Succession planting is an excellent way to feed pollinators. Snowdrops then crocuses then primula 😄👍
This is exactly why I’ve worked for years to plant winter&early spring flowering plants/trees. As climate shifts pollinators will have early seasonal food. If pollinators have food so do birds&small mammals.
To feed biodiversity one must feed what land life is based on,soil biome,plants&insect life
