Let’s talk about Graham Platner’s Big Lie, finally. In 2009, at the height of the Gulf War, the Marines barred him from active duty. Platner claims it was his forearm tattoos. But his one forbidden tattoo was the Nazi symbol on his chest. He knew - and he left the Marines rather than give it up. 1/

Reminds me of that one comic he wrote about a soldier who commits war crimes but the twist is that he’s bad because he betrayed his country, not because of the war crimes.

Greatest of all the 80s and 90s artist/writers if you ask me. Responsible for the best Wonder Woman origin, most iconic costumes, and maybe the best looking Marvel comic ever (Infinity Gauntlet)

When K*ng finally leaves the book, we need a 10 year moratorium on men not named Greg Rucka writing Wonder Woman comics

His Wonder Woman run (I could only last till like issue 20) felt to me like DC editorial looked at the Becky Cloonan/Michael Conrad (which I loved) and said “enough of that girl shit and gay shit”

"“We rely on Hispanic labor,” said Chris Gross, a second-generation farmer who grows sweet corn seed and mint in Wilder. She added, “Nobody thought something like this could happen here.”"
I've posted about this before but I just looked up this article for something I'm working on and I cannot deal with this - the quote, or the way it's presented without direct follow-up or context.
What does "Hispanic labor" mean?

Hickman says “continuity is what we remembered” so I memory holed the Byrne and Bendis runs and therefore they don’t exist

Screenshot showing cost of water at the TDCJ commissary. Source: https://www.tdcj.texas.gov/documents/bfd/Commissary_Price_List.pdf
Incarcerated people in one TX prison are warned by some staff & doctors to "drink bottled water" because the tap water is too risky.
...except a water bottle from commissary is completely unaffordable when you make $0 per day, as incarcerated folks in TX do.

The two best Geoff Johns comics aren’t anything he did at DC. (Yes, that includes 52)

He shut it down by being more subtle in his racism. He didn’t say “there is nothing wrong with being Muslim you racist asshole, but Obama isn’t Muslim.” He basically said “no, he’s not a Muslim, instead he’s a human being worthy of respect.”

It feels like something that should be around for one or arc and then Batman should learn “oh wait this kid needs friends, I’m being selfish” and admits that he’s wrong
