Yesterday was the anniversary of my Mommy's passing. It rained for hours, reminding me how my brother and I would sit under this tree when it was leafy and beautiful, safe from the water coming down around us.

Received a voicemail from a funeral home in Spokane, WA, and sent a text message to my siblings asking if they knew what was going on, not knowing I was breaking the news to them that our mom passed last night. 💔😢
