My bio: Madeline Lane-McKinley is a writer based in Portland, Oregon, whose books include Solidarity with Children, Comedy Against Work, and Fag/Hag. Madeline is also an editor for Blind Field: A Journal of Cultural Inquiry, and co-editor of The Return of the ‘90s: A Cultural History of the Present. Highlighted section: Madeline is an adjunct lecturer whose research is not supported by (and therefore has no affiliation with) either of the universities where she is currently employed.

From tear gas attacks to violent abductions, we are collectively witnessing the mass-scale abuse of children. Young people are fighting back.
