Rio Grande Nature Center : New Mexico Nomad Located on the Rio Grande flyway, the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park provides excellent bird watching year around, with 250+ species.

#Albuquerque has an abundance of natural resources in town, way beyond the city park model of other communities. With the Cibola National Forest bordering on the east & the Rio Grande flowing through the city, nature is never far away. Bears & lions do wander into town, particularly during droughts.
