Scotland generated 90% of the oil, got like 2% of the revenue and voted to remain bahahahhaha
Should rename it Aberdeen syndrome honestly
UK really had an oil boom and instead of using that money for long term economic security, they spent it all on tax cuts for the wealthy and that will never not be hilarious given their current state
Lesson in there somewhere
Bizar hoe weinig geld dat eigenlijk is gegeven hoeveel je er voor terug zou kunnen krijgen

Useful crypto apps would flourish in an unstable world though, downside is world is unstable
Yeah, after March the curve definitely plateaus, so that could be a delayed effect I suppose. Itβs a voluntary agreement between 75 major retailers, so no legal enforcement. Offering +/- 5000 products at βlowest possible priceβ. So I think the efficacy is reflected in the chart - except for energy
Interesting, in March β23 France introduced price caps on essential products and restrictions on energy tariff increases. Though some plateauing is visible, prices have risen significantly since. Any thoughts on whatβs causing that?
People talking about microplastics makes me remember how not that long ago I ate an actual plastic sheet.
We are not the same

Great example of how to work with nature!

A colony of beavers built the dam overnight, and saved the city β¬1.2m

Feel the same way, but adoption is also hard to see; thereβs a fair amount of stuff going on in the corporate world. Did we really just build all this for banks to have better infra tho
The misalignment between regular users that want use cases to improve life & VCs is a core issue.
Bizarre βoplossingβ, of ze weten niet dat er oplossingen hiervoor zijn die geen inbreuk op privacy maken, of ze weten het wel en negeren die bewust.
Allebei even kwalijk

Spot on, I get Brendan knows the PL and probably has a plan, but a seemingly mediocre player on the highest wages.. all just seems like last minute panic, and thereβs no need for it whatsoever
Gotcha, hadnβt heard of him and saw he plays LW, so figured heβd be in a more forward position.
Still would rather give youth a chance.
Only one 17 YO in the B team, whatβs the point in having a squad full of 18-22 YOs if they donβt get a chance. Unfair to these lads and a huge waste of resources
Would so much rather give the youth a chance, what do the likes of Kenny/Cummings/Turley have to do to get some game timeβ¦ Schlupp isnβt going to help us beat Bayern & the leagues practically wrapped. These kinda transfers donβt make any sense to me
Shouldβve known, not many economies have live fish account for 5% of their export

How to protect democracies from falsehoods?
By empowering the young with open-source investigation skills, argue @bellingcat.com founder @eliothiggins.bsky.social and @drnataliemartin.bsky.social from @cmpcr.bsky.social in this new piece
reutersinstitute.politics.ox.ac.uk/news/how-pro...
Iβm the biggest fan of @gjuk.bsky.social for calling out the beast of centralised energy policy in a rapidly increasing decentralised system.
If weβre serious about the Transition we needed to abolish it yesterday. The left should push hard on this, it would be a huge boost to the working class.
Passports are barely 100 years old and theyβre the most unfair thing in existence
I'm going to say it again:
Immigration is good, actually.
There are no qualifications on this statement other than "don't be a comemierda" and that goes no matter what.
"Legal" and "illegal" are artificial categories imposed by States with arbitrary rules, usually with suboptimal outcomes.
Iβm actually not a huge tariff hater, if this is what it takes to actually get people to eat/buy/manufacture local then as a matter of fact I quite like it.
Fun article, will we soon be drilling for H2?
Lots of barriers to overcome but itβs bountifulness could perhaps mitigate most

I think thatβs a bit harsh, the Dutch are ontzettend gezellig ;)
Thanks for sharing. One thing Iβm wondering about for my country specifically (NL).
Re: Friendly, not warm, you mention sport clubs/social clubs etc. These are in place and widely utilised by youth, however, far right did v well in this demographic. Should left not focus more on digital spaces?
I wrote this thing. It's far from perfect, but at least it's done. Feedback welcome, especially if you're actually doing something.
