CARTOON OF THE DAY
Agree or disagree?
Ghosts of different shapes an sizes, floating
‘Whatever lost ghosts flare,
Damned, howling in their shrouds across the moor
Rave on the leash of the starving mind
Which peoples the bare room, the blank, untenanted air.’

Here's a groundbreaking report that examines how countries around the world have successfully expanded abortion access and protected reproductive rights. The reports offer U.S.-based policymakers proven strategies to counter restrictions and treat abortion as essential health care.
A close-up studio shot shows a roughly rectangular rock with intricate, swirling patterns of white, pink, and reddish-brown. The top and right sides of the rock are a rougher, more solid reddish-brown and orange, while the front face reveals the polished, concentric, wavy bands. The patterns resemble a topographic map or the rings of a tree, with lighter colors in the center of the swirls. The rock sits on a plain white background.
Agate is common in the basalt flows of the Jurassic Period here in Nova Scotia, which form the spectacular hills around the Bay of Fundy. Agate became the provincial gemstone of Nova Scotia in 1999.

Ancient body art wasn’t fashion — it was identity, power, and story. ✨🗿

The Chavin culture was a pre-Columbian civilization that flourished in the northern Andean high- lands of Peru from around 900 to 200 BC, known for its sophisticated art, religious influence, and engineering. Its ceremonial and pilgrimage cen-ter, Chavin de Huántar, was the source of a religious and cultural cult that spread across a wide area, making it an influential "mother culture" for later Andean civilizations. Key aspects include its religious system, centered on a powerful priesthood and complex multi-sensory rituals; its advanced art, seen in striking stone carvings and textiles; and its engineering skills, evident in the complex architecture of Chavin de Huántar, such as its drainage system.

Hello AliceInTheSky . This sculpture also made a profound impression on me back in the late 70s. Thanks for posting
Cubist limestone statue. One human holding what the title suggests to be a mandolin but which looks very much like a second human figure.

I’m so sorry. Hang in there. I know it’s terrifying. Find someplace safe.
