UTC!
UTC!
This was a fun read. Thanks! It would certainly be a bigger change than what we do now or just picking one. Time zones are a relatively novel technological invention for a problem and we have better tech now.

The cover of the book "The Line Upon a Wind: The Great War at Sea 1793-1815" by Noel Mostert. The image is a painting of the sterns of three battered ships, surrounded by smoke.

I just preordered @josie.zoneβs upcoming book The Last Temptation of Beck. I didnβt know anything about comics or wrestling before I read her last books. I donβt know anything about Beck but I am excited to learn in November!
A 19th Century PSA image of George Washington in a colonial militia uniform and hat. The text says: "LEGAL HOLIDAY Washington's Birthday February 22nd No Business Transacted"
Thank you for tuning in for my annual kvetch about the Uniform Monday Holiday Act of 1968. If I were dictator, it would be among the first things I would abolish.
Lincoln was also born in February, on February 12. Washington's Birthday also never falls on that date.
The Federal Holiday is not Presidents' Day or President's Day or Presidents day, although many state holidays have some of those names. In Ohio it is "Washington-Lincoln Day." In California it is known as "The third Monday of February." In Delaware it is not a holiday at all.
Happy Washingtonβs Birthday! He was born on Feb 11 when the Colonies used the Julian Calendar, and converted to Gregorian his birthday was Feb 22. The Uniform Monday Holiday Act says that the 3rd Monday in Feb is Washingtonβs Birthday and it always falls between Feb 15 and 21, never on either bday.
the car magically veered a few hundred feet off a state highway, over a bike path, and onto a frozen river. wild, that.
Easier than changing a bike crank! Mazel tov! Hope everybody is healthy and happy.

To be clear, most often no car yields to pedestrians, despite the crosswalk and the flashing sign. Morse Road (More Stroad) needs a road diet, and this intersection in particular needs a traffic light
I used to live just north of this intersection. It is so dangerous. Often a driver in the right lane will yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk, only for a car behind to zoom into the left lane and through the crosswalk. Because it is designed like a highway.
This looks like a Bosch Gen2 system. As far as I know (I am a Bosch-certified bike tech, and I own a similar UA) it is not possible to power additional external lights from the battery. Sorry!
Coming May 4: The Pittsburgh Gazette-Post! Now with fewer employees, and they're paid less, and more AI!
Stay woke, Isaac
I really enjoyed reading this and the photos. Thanks!
Where is this?
And this one. We are going to have a lot more fun taking his name off of things than he is having putting it on them.
Every time he puts his name on something, I think of this GIF
A bootleg lego hanukkiah and dreidel, along with a t-Rex with a minifig, in front of mason jars full of lego flowers. It is the 5th night of Hanukkah
Donβt lose at dreidel
This is exactly what every GOP elected will say about him when he loses the number of his mess.
Cool that you are using both digital and film! Primes are great. Good luck
Not much difference between the two angles, whether on full frame or APS-C, although I usually find wider is more useful. If you are using APS-C, though you should not get a 35mm prime, but instead a 24mm.
I told myself that for years but I finally bought one last year and now itβs on one of my camera bodies 95% of the time.
