I'd be scared to generate ideas I'm exploring, I feel like it would pingeonhole me into a certain route or way of thinking way too early. I think it can definitely stiffle creativity in a handful of ways

I think it's a slippery slope...
Technology through my childhood / early adulthood was like an upward curving graph where one year you had VHS and the next dvd, then suddenly blu rays were a thing wow, streaming! And now it's like the curve steeply drops down to overpriced enshittified everything and every new advance fuckin sucks
A cool guy dressed as powered up Okarun from Dan Da Dan. He's wearing black school clothes with a long frayed red shirt collar. His feet are bare. He has crazy wavy white hair with red streaks. He wears glasses and a large scary mask with tons of teeth. His posture is hunched over.
@collinjryan.bsky.social as Okarun from DanDaDan π»π½ππΈ
I like the self portrait
I think it can help characters be less flat and based on their archetype, which i think many of us want but it can be hard to achieve!
For instance a more shy charactee that outrolls someone may take charge, or a greedy character could be made to back down (whether out of embarrassment, shame, or being forced by someone).
I love this because rolling (if there's no quick resolution) can shake things up in interesting ways, like force a character to act outside of their (or their players!) comfort zone, possibly leading to character development.
I have been informed that I'm a fake fan for the mispell, but I would like to counter that I was sick and tired when posting and also typing it fast π

This is a good sign
This is a real thing that a judge had to say to the Chief of US Customs and Border Protection.
Some time ago I saw an artist say that folks often put a lot of effort into their work, and then post about it once. Which is such a shame!
Not everyone is awake at the same time, not everyone is online every day, and you put a lot of effort into it!
So go post your work again! Repost it again!
From the owner of the house tonight:
The Sun-Times is reporting Border Patrol took at least two teenage boys today when they hit Little Village, again.
One is said to be a 16-year old student, U.S. citizen, and student at Benito Juarez Community Academy.
If you would like to support some of the families of people who have been abducted by ICE in my area during the recent federal attacks on our community that I've written about, local organizers have put together this trusted list of crowd funds.
𧡠This scene from Bridgeview was just captured on TikTok from multiple anglesβ
An Uber driver picked up a passenger & was immediately surrounded by ICE SRT agents. She says they almost rammed her off the road.
One of them approaches with a shield. They point weapons at her and grab her passenger.
I know that there are people outside Chicago who are paying attention and seeing these videos but there are no words for how it feels when the videos show everyday places in your neighborhood, places that are part of your routine. The sense of violation is profound.
Was this today? I may have interacted with the ice agents in the kia car, they said i was impeding while crossing a crosswalk with my dogs in rogers park. One physically moved me out of the crosswalk as I wasn't fast enough I guess
People should absolutely be writing about how ICE's occupation of their cities is transforming life in these places, and they should be publishing it in print on paper - not just social media posts. There needs to be a record of this. Things are changing in measurable ways for the worse every day.
While waiting in the federal agentsβ minivan for his citation, the attorney caught a glimpse of the agents receiving text messages from a group chat called βChiraq Team 2.β

Yesterday's No Kings protests were apparently the largest since the first Earth Day in 1970
The NYT covered that story with a six column headline across the top of the paper and two full pages inside
Today, two small pics below the fold and a story on page A23
They constantly let America down
So grateful for my alderwoman and for @blockclubchi.bsky.socialβs coverage of the ongoing occupation

Todayβs raids show we need more and more people watching out and prepared to make noise.
Saving the ICIRR hotline in your phone, picking up a whistle, and occasionally going outside during daylight hours are so easy to do, and the cumulative effect of us all doing them can save someone.
If you are on ICE watch in the Rogers Park vicinity please have a buddy and exercise extreme caution. ICE has assaulted verifiers today and arrested at least one of our people. If you are vulnerable to ICE in this area, I recommend staying inside if possible.
A fluffy tricolor dog looking very seriously at the camera while sitting on a sidewalk. His dog tag is visible and is a blue bone shape with the words 'Hi, my name is Harper'
This guy is gonna single handedly cause the cicadas in our area to evolve to avoid sidewalks at all costs ππ₯΄
screenshot from blender showing a grey blockout of an apartment door with a grid of windows in the door, and a balcony above it. on the balcony are boxes that will eventually become planters.
working on a little 3d scene to say goodbye to summer here in Chicagoπ I love fall too, but the fact that beach days are pretty much behind us is distressing
waiitt I went to the dentist yesterday too! And we have the same name basically? What are the chances!
Oliver says hello :)
