genuinely, obviously they need to figure out a less invasive way to check for these things because there are people it’s just incompatible with but i fully believe for the most part that the thought of the procedure is a lot worse than the procedure itself

obviously that is valid and understandable my point was on the ultimate fear-mongering that accompanies any discussion of these things like mass comments about how you’d rather get cancer than a smear test is obviously going to have an impact on the way people come to fear things like pap smears
