The Constitution is clear: Congress decides on war. When a president uses military force without authorization and Congress stays silent, they are abandoning their role as a co equal branch of government. War is the most serious power our government has. Shame on the U.S. Senate today.

An independent investigation is needed to establish the facts of this case. If the evidence shows the US committed war crimes, the matter should be referred to a war crimes tribunal.
Torpedoing an unarmed ship, then leaving survivors to die, violates the Geneva Conventions, UNCLOS, the UN Charter, and the Rome Statute. All at once. The Trump regime claims no war exists, which makes this even more illegal. Calling it an 'operation' doesn't make it legal.

They are also barred from running for the office in the next special or general election. “We’ve set specific eligibility guidelines for the appointee, and also prohibited the person from refiling for the office once the special term is fulfilled to protect the seat from the unfair advantage of incumbency,” Paxton said in a statement at the time. “This bill encourages a robust election cycle for this important elected position, as the appointed individual is only meant to be a placeholder so that we don’t go underrepresented in the U.S. Senate.”
