That's why aiPTO exists. Not to hype or fear AI. So I can help families create their own thoughtful relationship with these tools.

What kind of family culture are you building around technology?

Some will outsource their thinking. Others will be manipulated by systems designed to influence them. But with intentional family conversations, they can also learn to use these tools as extensions of their own creativity and critical thinking.

They're not asking whether AI is revolutionary or dangerous. They're just using it - at school, in apps, through friends. The question isn't whether this is good or bad, but whether they're developing the wisdom to navigate it thoughtfully.

The AI conversation is missing the most important voice: families.

We're surrounded by AI evangelists promising utopia and doomsday prophets predicting catastrophe. Meanwhile, our children are quietly growing up in a world where AI is simply part of the landscape.

📣 We need:
- Schools with response plans
- Parents who stay informed & involved
- Laws that actually address student-on-student AI abuse
- Platforms that don’t profit off harm

❌ 62% of teachers say they’ve been given zero guidance on how to handle this kind of abuse.
❌ Students think it’s legal — “because there’s an app for it”
❌ Victims suffer emotional trauma, social fallout, and lasting fear

This isn’t a future scenario. It’s happening right now in schools.

New research from Stanford Cyber Policy Center shows students are using AI “nudify” apps to generate fake explicit images of their classmates. And most schools have no idea how to respond.

These apps are easy to find. Some are even advertised on Instagram and TikTok.

As humanist, this AI friends concept is just concerning. I worry for our kids, who might have these "friends" pushed upon them. My deeper concern is that we're so focused on making AI smart that we risk dumbing down humanity in the process.
