Graphic of Job functions in a narrative team. Roles: These aren't consistent across the industry, but this is a reasonable model. Each role has a core expertise (e.g. narrative design, or writing) and each individual role or person is likely to have associated extra skills and responsibilities. In larger teams, the Narrative Designer may not do the writing, for example, and the Writer might not even do story design (particularly with outsourced writing).
