They’re too busy telling me I should quit taking T. Or that I should go to psychiatry because I seem more depressed and anxious now. Or that I should just take a weight loss medication… Everything EXCEPT what my actual issue is… I’m exhausted.
Muscle and joint pain are more intense lately, and I can barely walk without my back threatening to give out on me. All of my symptoms are consistent with under active thyroid function. However…because I’m a trans man on T (for the past 3 years mind you), they refuse to look at my thyroid…
Despite all that, taking my medication daily, improving my diet and continuing to exercise, sleeping more regularly, and drinking more water…the weight keeps piling. My fatigue is getting worse. My monthly cycle is suddenly not regular anymore, it’s all over the place when it was steady for years…
Yes I’ve put on weight. Yes I know I’m overweight. But I’m not overweight because I eat too much or don’t work out. I barely have an appetite. I forget to eat regularly. I push myself to workout bc of some fucked post military mentality that if I can’t do what I did in my 20s then I’m a failure…
This is a bit of a vent/rant.

I’ve been beating my head against the wall that is medical for years but the last few months have been the worst. I’m in constant pain. Most of the symptoms I had from hypothyroidism are cropping back up one by one. And all a Dr wants to look at is my weight…

I’ve been dealing with a lot of health stuff. Mental and physical. And the doctors I’ve been seeing are unwilling to actually hear me out. Blaming problems on my testosterone despite the problems predating me taking T. So now I’m gonna be looking for a new doctor…again.
