Anyway, let's see if I can get some sketchin' done while waiting for these to fully dry

(the spoon is so I can see if clear red looks better over a gold or silver base; gonna end up on the gun eventually.)

Base color on everything; gave the gun and sword a gloss black for some metallics I'm gonna try on 'em, and everything else is white.

Dunno if I thinned the white too much or sprayed it with too much pressure, but it's pooling like crazy; may have to sand those down.

Most of the colors I intend to use for painting the Hoihoi-san kit. No prize for guessing what the plan is.

Gonna do probably the most expected thing with this kit, but it should be fun!

The items/weapons for the Kotobukiya Hoihoi-san New Edition 1:1 scale plastic model kit, painted with a light gray primer. Gonna turn 'em different colors by the end of the weekend.

Much of my early online life was wrapped up in participating and moderating the FF2 fan community on the Games BBS on the Prodigy service. God, I might've grown up liking pro football or politics or some awful thing without that game.

It wasn't my first console RPG, or even my first Final Fantasy, but it was the first console RPG I played that actually provoked *emotions* in me. Got super-bummed when Rydia fell overboard, felt triumphant on Mt. Ordeals, got really, REALLY pissed off at Baigan, etc.

Copied the hell out of that floppy, though it didn't do me much good 'til I found a txt file of constellation coordinates on a local BBS!

I was a sophomore in high school when it came out and had a real dork for a World Civ teacher; some of us would hang out at his place after school a couple days a week and play PC games and AD&D. StarCon1 Melee was in frequent rotation, and I first played SC2 right after he bought it.

Aight bet. My 3 console, PC and arcade picks.

(The Goonies should actually be The Goonies 2; one of the first NES games I played and probably the one that most hooked me. Template's never heard of it, though. It's fun to play the Goonies 2!)
