Between Netanyahu and Trump, itโs hard for me to decide if they killed him to settle scores or someone thought he had any influence in the Iranian state still

Itโs kinda crazy to kill him given 1) he is retired 2) the Iranian state has made it clear in no uncertain terms that he would never return to power.
Makes me wonder if the strikes arenโt operating on what you or I would call โconventional logicโ

Scouting America says transgender kids are still welcome after Pete Hegseth claimed they werenโt-

world-altering decisions are being made by a cabal of gambling addicts hell bent on self enrichment no matter the cost to humanity, we should look into that.
For context, Politico reported Wednesday that the Trump regime thought it would be better optics if Israel bombed Iran first so that America could just appear to be helping an ally rather than starting a new war
They want to turn Tehran into Beirut of 1982
Kinda what preemptive strike has meant throughout most of modern history
I want to remind us all: The people of Israel are strong. The IDF and the Air Force are strong. The strongest power in the world stands with us. In moments like these we stand together - and we win together. There is no coalition and no opposition, only one people and one IDF, with all of us behind them ๐ฎ๐ฑ
The so called leader of opposition in Israel endorsing full throated war of aggression while bragging that the US supports it every step of the way
What they want is to us to rally around the flag, to ignore the fact that they engineered this. You need to spread the obvious fact that they created the scenario.
Someone in the administration said yesterday โit would be better politically if Israel struck firstโ and what happens? Before us is a conspiracy to invade Iran. The USS Ford lies docked in Haifaโs harbor because Trump hopes for a missile to hit it so that he can go to war
Do not forget the people of Lebanon either, who have been suffering the "preemptive" bombardment of Israel for well over a year and a half and are suffering it intensified tenfold today
Al Jazeera reporting that the 3 illegal Israeli/US strikes occurred in the Jomhouri area, which is in downtown Tehran close to the University of Tehran, and the Seyyed Khandan area, in north Tehran
If you want war with China and for thousands of Taiwanese people to die horribly you should continue to believe what you believe.
You probably should given itโs the second largest economy in the world, a country with 1.4 billion people, and one of the largest militaries in the world. You may want to learn why certain things are what they are before grandstanding
Again, when Pelosi visited Taipei, it legitimately hurt US-China diplomatic relations and caused a show of force by the PLA. Thereโs elements within Chinese society that advocate storming the island, but strategic ambiguity saves the PRC and the CPC face. Complexity doesnโt matter. It works
The PRC is mostly fine with living in the status quo. A longer term solution is preferable in the abstract, but what that doesnโt look like is a loud challenge to the legitimacy of the PRC.
AOC is also guilty of this, although her answer was less bad than this one iirc. Acting like war/militaristic competition with the second largest economy in the world and a nation of 1.4 billion is nothing is actual insanity
When Pelosi visited Taiwan, the PLA lobbed ballistic missiles at it. They hit nothing, because theyโre not stupid. But they were compelled to do a show of force. If you want to not escalate towards a war in pacific, strategic ambiguity must be maintained.
The Taiwan answer is bad and ill-considered. Thereโs no point in dropping strategic ambiguity and because of internal PRC politics it probably makes incursions against Taiwan more likely not less
Remember when Pelosi visited Taiwan and the PLA lobbed ballistic missiles towards it? Violating the policy makes conflict *more* likely because of Chinese internal politics
Sheโs has always had a lot of goofiness in her platform (m4a but with an opt out for some reason) but itโs only being acknowledged now. It might be too late for someone like Simmons who is much more straightforwardly on the left in domestic and Foreign policy
The answer on Taiwan is incredibly bad. Thereโs no reason to move away from strategic ambiguity, and makes the world less safe for people in Taiwan!

This image shows a post from Benjamin Ryan (@benryanwriter) on X (formerly Twitter), which includes a quoted post from Alejandra Caraballo (@esqueer.net). โThe text of the posts is as follows: โBenjamin Ryan: "Caraballo raises a good point: Where are the national stories about the situation in Kansas with trans peopleโs driverโs licenses? On the flip side, why was the mainstream left-leaning media so generally uninterested in the detransitioner lawsuit win? I got about 20 interview requests to talk about my reporting on the case for @TheFP and they were all from conservative or heterodox outlets." โAlejandra Caraballo: "A day later and no major national news org has covered what they're doing in Kansas. This is the flip side of the hyper focus on trans issues by the right. The national media ignores what's actually being done to trans people. This erasure is what contributes to the persecution."
Yeah, thousands of trans people losing their ability to drive and function in society is equivalent to nobody respectable wanting to talk to you.
Won't anyone think about poor Ben Ryan who is unable to book interviews with outlets that aren't right wing hacks and get the respect he deserves.
