I made a couple of stickers. One of the jokes is incredibly niche, but those in the know, know. This is our little Etsy shop, proceeds go towards our mission of protecting the press. Democracy Dies... www.etsy.com/listing/4456...

How ICE Already Knows Who Minneapolis Protesters Are

A Minnesota woman observing ICE agents in her car was cornered on one-way streets. An agent approached, called her by nameโ€”citing facial recognition. Days later, her Global Entry and TSA privileges were revoked, with no explanation.

Sharing good work from journalists from different news orgs. Talking about media literacy. Explaining how ethical, professional journalism is made. Humanizing journalists is a big missing piece to our long term safety and survival.

As we enter into the new year, we are thinking a lot about what โ€œprotect the pressโ€ means. The obvious is PPE, training, education, safety advisors. Not so obvious: uplifting each other online. Sharing stories about our amazing colleagues while they are still alive. Not tearing each other down.
