Record-breaking February 2026 ridership on Bay Wheels in the East Bay, up 43% compared to Feb. '25. New stations in Oakland and Emeryville undoubtedly helping, despite Berkeley sleepwalking into its third year of silently deliberating expansion sites.

Outward appearance is not indicative of internal moral character! It just is not! Using a concept that is beloved by racists against those same racists does not rescue it from their clutches and weakens YOU, not them

For whatever it’s worth, I visited Montreal last summer and took a train from Vancouver to Toronto in January and was welcomed all around. I was surprised how strongly a Winnipeg resident identified with the people resisting in Minneapolis (a closely-neighboring city).

Nice, congrats! One of my kids has gotten really into 3d printing this week. Guess I should have mentioned that in my review. :)

I don't trust the motivations of any of these companies, but do appreciate there being an example that is at least different than "let's give him a 24k gold plaque in hopes we get a tariff break" or whatever.

I take your point and (as always) appreciate you pushing for more and better. That said, I have been hungry for any major company in tech to take a stand on *fucking anything* and I hope this move is at least a data point in future board discussions elsewhere. A first move can inspire more moves.

Not a lot, but there’s a surprising number of smaller semi-useful things to print. If I had to model them myself it would probably exceed my patience but downloading and printing is wildly easy. Fun, semi-useful, not essential.
