My name is Gabe. I draw and I like music. A lot of the drawings I share here are not child-friendly. He/Him | 3/18/91 | β‘οΈ | π©·ππ | π π³οΈββ§οΈ Social media is too depressing. Call or text me instead.
Keep calling your senators.
I remember the exact McDonaldβs my mom used to take me to that had this playground. Itβs been gone for a while.
One of my favorite childhood memories is waking along a little walled-off garden they had there like a tightrope and singing the alphabet song to myself.
The government is asking for public comments on whether banks should be able to deny you from buying legal goods at their own whim (i.e. how they're cracking down on art)
Tell them you don't want to be told how to spend your money

Iβm just mad that I didnβt think of this first XD
2-panel joke from the Naked Gun movie where Leslie Nielsen looks up a woman's skirt while she's on a ladder and he says 'nice beaver,' only for her to climb down the ladder and hand him an ACTUAL beaver, saying 'thanks, I just had it stuffed'. that joke, but with Dr. Nisha and Dr. Sam from Hoppers
so yeah #hoppers is a good movie, turns out
(Should probably clarify that Iβm Jewish)
Knew it! XD
Happy 311 Day!
Start with 5calls.org
And then literally just Google your state (or area) and the word "representatives"
Then just tell them what you're upset about. It's really that easy and straight forward.
Also not exclusive to us.
I like this animation style!
I just try to take the good with the bad. Call it out when you see it, but also accept that itβs going to be there once in a while.
Pretty sure this isnβt exclusive to us XD
Remember:
when it's AI-generated, it's "slop."
When it's made by humans, it's "crap."
Crap may not be any more desirable than slop, but at least humans made it.
Nothing says naked capitalism more than pitching the possibility of having literally everything you could ever imagine at your command, including things you might not actually want that badly.
I'll admit, the first time I saw this - on the big screen at Ottawa International, no less - I felt my heart sink into my stomach, but it was humbling as well. It made me, a white person, think "Huh, so that's what it looks like when we do it to other people."
Like most cartoon fans, I've seen more than my fair share of racist caricatures of Black, Indigenous, East Asian, Arab and other nonwhite people in classic animation, but this the only cartoon I've ever seen NOT made by Nazis that I consider unquestionably antisemitic.
Funny you say that because, IIRC, all of George's clothes were made a size too small on him to make him look perpetually uncomfortable.
"Like an apolitical person trying to shut down conversations about problems with the US government, we have to ask: 'what about China?'"
Post your favorite Lord of the Rings character. Wrong answers only.
"You can win everything above the Chiclets but beneath the stereo."
Never considered this, but they're 100% right. I'm still on DeviantArt and other sites like FurAffinity and the pressure to pump out content seems pretty rare. The worst I usually see is the odd "where've you been?" message when you visit someone's page and see they haven't posted in literal years.
I never considered that, but you're absolutely right.
I still use gallery sites like DA and FurAffinity, which, despite not being as popular, are by no means dead. You might get the odd "where have you been?" or "guess they're dead" message, but there's never pressure to mass-produce anything.
βYeah, getting 100% of what I donβt want is bad, but only getting 80% of what I do want (with at least the possibility of more) would be REALLY bothersome!β
Absolutely no good can come from HR 7661 (this is the one that would legally make it a sex offense to teach children about being trans). Harming the arts or education separately is bad enough, it should absolutely not happen to both.
A woman after my own heart.
βLeftistsβ need to understand that βliberalsβ never say that.
Itβs something YOU say when youβre whining about having to vote against fascists.
Leftists have sealed themselves in a bubble where they never talk to actual liberals. They just argue with cartoon straw liberals in their own heads.
I think itβs time for another social media break.
